Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies the HouseMate website (housemateapp.it) and the HouseMate web app (app.housemateapp.it) use. For how we process personal data, see the Privacy Policy.

1. What we use

• Website: no cookies, local storage or tracking scripts. Fonts are served from our own host and the site's scripts only drive animations and the interface. When you send the contact form, its content goes to our hosting provider's form service (Netlify Forms) so we can answer you; this does not use cookies.
• Web app: no cookies. To keep you signed in, the app stores your session in your browser's local storage; it is removed when you sign out.

2. Strictly necessary technologies

The web app's session storage is strictly necessary to provide the service you ask for (being signed in), so under the ePrivacy rules (in Italy, art. 122 of the Privacy Code) it does not require consent.

3. Analytics and marketing

We use no analytics, advertising, social-media or other tracking cookies or pixels. If we ever add any, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before they are activated, where the law requires it.

4. Map and place search

When you use the map or search for a place in the web app, your browser loads map tiles and search results directly from OpenStreetMap's servers, which receive your IP address and the text you search for. We do not set cookies for this; see the Privacy Policy for details.

5. Browser controls

You can clear or block site data in your browser settings. If you clear the web app's local storage you will simply be signed out.
